To Do in Barbados

Panthera Terra is situated in St James on the west coast of Barbados. It is literally a two minute walk from the apartment to the beach and beautiful sea beyond. No matter what time of day you decide to go into the sea, it's always warm. Not only have you got this beach on your doorstep but there is so much else to do.

There are water sports right there on your own beach including water ski-ing, jet ski, fly boarding and glass bottom boats which take you to swim with the turtles. Or you can take Catamaran trips from Bridgetown which run several times a day - whether you choose a lunch-time trip or take a sunset cruise, it's an excursion you shouldn't miss. The apartments are also located minutes away from the Island's best golf courses - Sandy Lane and The Royal Westmoreland. If tennis is your game, then there are many tennis courts available too!

For a taste of history there's Sunbury - the Old Plantation House, St Nicholas Abbey and the George Washington Museum, near the race course. So spending a day at the races and taking in a museum is a great alternative day out. A drive over to the east coast and a visit to Bathsheba - a surfing haven - together with a Sunday brunch at the Atlantis Hotel will give you a different view of the island.

As for restaurants, they are plentiful. There's JuJu's beach bar which offers tasty lunch time snacks actually on your beach or if you want a more fine-dining experience, there is the Lone Star which is a five minute walk and which is open for lunch and dinner.

Five minutes down the road in Holetown there are many more restaurants - from rum shacks to gourmet cuisine - the choice is endless. Holetown also provides great shopping - from the every-day to the exclusive. And to stock-up the refrigerator there is a fabulous supermarket (Massy's) where you will find just about everything you'll need.

If there is any further information you need prior or during your stay, your host Tony will be only too happy to help.
